Lost Roads is an indie horror game created by RGNteam for desktops. This free-to-play game will have players go on a challenging and scary adventure inside a house. Your goal is to escape by going through the rooms.

Lost Roads features mechanics typical of escape room titles. Here, players will solve puzzles to escape the house. There are two modes offered, although both entail going through the same area over and over to see the small changes. As it is an indie game, expect a short gameplay. In fact, even first-time players can finish the game in minutes.

Lost Roads is a psychological horror game that traps players inside a house. The premise is simple. You must escape by going through each room and solving the puzzles. The catch is that the rooms change every time you pass by it. Of course, the entire house is dark, and there are jump scares waiting to pounce as you enter a room.

As mentioned, the game offers two modes; normal mode and challenge mode. Normal mode lets you solve the puzzle at your own pace. There is no time limit to think of, allowing you to pay more attention to the notes and clues. Meanwhile, the challenge mode comes with a time limit. You must escape the house before time runs out. For this, you must use the objects inside the rooms.

Unlike other similar titles, Lost Roads does not have a story. It does not even explain the rationale behind your entrapment. Moreover, the puzzles are so simple that you can solve them in minutes. What's more, the gameplay is too short. The entire run time does not even last half an hour. Worse, it suffers from lags and freezes that render it unplayable.

Overall, Lost Roads is a game that you can play if you are a fan of the horror genre. It has simple and familiar mechanics. However, while the mood set for the game is good, there is no storyline. The run time is also too short, and the puzzles are too simple. Moreover, there is not much you can do aside from entering rooms over and over.
